Open Rank Faculty, Leukemia
The Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology/Oncology at the University of Virginia, seeks candidates for a clinical faculty position at the Assistant/Associate/or Full Professor level, with a subspecialty focus on acute leukemia, myeloid neoplasms, and other bone marrow failure disorders as a clinician/investigator. Clinical track, rank, and tenure status are dependent upon qualifications.
The successful candidate will strengthen the clinical and clinical research efforts in these disorders, utilizing the excellent translational research opportunities and resources available at the University and the UVA Comprehensive Cancer Center. Additionally, the incumbent will attend inpatient and outpatient services and participate in multidisciplinary team care and clinical research within the Cancer Center, for a growing number of patients with leukemia and other marrow failure disorders. As an integral part of the educational mission, the incumbent will actively participate in the teaching of fellows, residents, and medical students. This faculty position is designed for physicians focused on a career of clinical investigation and the provision of outstanding clinical care, including active participation in our educational mission.
